Unfortunately no according to ANSI regulations (except Texans can take the Texas only exam on any device)

You can take the training course on a phone, I-Pad or tablet however, you are required to have a laptop or desktop with a camera and microphone to take the proctored online exam.

Yes. The course and exam are 100% online. When you purchase the course and or exam, we will email you all of the instructions.

It is valid for 5 years, However, some jurisdictions may have a shorter expiration time. Check with State, County, or City officials

Both are very important for food safety. A Food Handler usually helps prepare the food or serves the food. A Food Manager is the person in charge or all food preparations and has much more food knowledge, training, and responsibilities than a food handler.

If you are not satisfied and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
You have NOT:

  • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
  • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
  • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course
  • If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to [email protected] with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.

Most people pass the exam on the first try. If you don't pass the first time, you can take it immediately once again at no charge.

In most state and local jurisdictions, Food Manager renewal can be done by just taking and passing the exam. There are a few jurisdictions which require taking the course and exam again to be recertified. Check with your local authorities. (Links are provided on your home state pages for state regulations.

The English and Spanish Learn2Serve Food Handler Certification Exam is accredited by ANAB #0975. 

No. You must take the food Handler Course and Exam to be re-certified.

You can get a food handler permit at any age, but check with your local authority for the minimum age to use it

Yes. ANAB accreditation requires an exam. Everything in the exam is covered in the course. Note: Ohio does not have an exam

If you handle, prepare, or serve food, you must have it to prevent foodborne illness to the public as well as yourself 

You can start and stop the course when you want and resume where you stopped. However, the exam must be finished once it is started.
